August thinks the picture behind Mr. Tushman's desk is a pumpkin at first but it's actually a portrait of Mr. Tushman. August grew out his bangs because he didn't want to see things he didn't want to see. The first stop on the tour was their homeroom classroom.

It was a pumpkin because the story said that is that a pumpkin. It was his first day at school and he met some kids. The first tour in ou school is the third floor.

August thinks that the picture behind Mr. Tushman is a pumpkin. But Mr. Tushman explains that it is a self-portrait. August grew out his bangs because he likes that it covers up things he doesn't want to see. The first stop on the tour of the school was August’s homeroom.
