I think August was upset because he really didn't want to go to school. The situation they were talking about avoiding was trying to protect August all the time from everything. I think August's parents want to send him to school is because they can't teach him everything he needs to know for fifth grade.

1.august didn’t go to school because of her face. August family doesn’t treat him likes normal person because he is not august man mom wanted to get out of bed because she wanted to see what was wrong.august was with his mom because she made him go to school

August was upset with his parents as they were driving because his parents decided to take him to school. The situation they are talking about avoiding was trying to protect August all the time. I think August’s parents want him to attend school because they think that August will make lots of friends.
